TAC workshop: 1st Session

I was invited along with Edwin Setiawan by J.T. Shim, PhD MBA professor teaching marketing class at Taiwan Adventist College for photography workshop. It was planned at their college campus and nearby Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) in Yuchih city, Nantou. The idea was to show students photo shoot process, encourage them to participate in shooting as model, assistant, on location and indoor shoot. This class which includes students from USA and Taiwan will run 3 weeks long. J.T. Shim hopes that through this workshop students will appreciate the difficulty of getting good images and not take them for granted.Sunday 12th June, 9am, Edwin and I took Kingbus (國光) from Taipei bus station to Puli, which took us approx 3 hours to arrive. Journey was quite at ease. J.T. and student Esther, who was our location shoot model drove car to pick us from Puli station. After quick lunch in college canteen we headed to shoot indoor. It was in College library. I was assigned to show student strobes lighting while Edwin wanted to show what can be done without any extra lighting gear. For 1st session, J.T. asked college faculty Neal & Moriah, a wonderful couple to be our models. It took me some time to setup my lighting. Images below shot with sb900 with umbrella bracket on light stand and sb600’s for rim light, triggered using Phottix transceivers.
